Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on how we work, what things cost and what happens after launch.
General
Do you also offer SEO services?
Yes, we offer ongoing SEO services including technical optimisation, targeted content and results tracking with monthly reports.
What kind of projects does Fisher Labs take on?
We build websites, web applications, e-commerce stores and custom WordPress solutions for businesses, professionals and organisations. If it runs in a browser, we can probably help.
Do you work with clients outside Italy?
Yes. Most of our work is done remotely, and we collaborate with clients across Europe. Meetings happen over video call and everything is delivered online.
Can you take over a project started by another agency?
Often, yes. We begin with a short audit of the existing code and hosting, then give you an honest view of what is worth keeping and what should be rebuilt.
Pricing & Payment
How much does a website cost?
Cost varies based on your goals and required features. Check out our packages, or request a free consultation for a tailored quote.
How do payments work?
We invoice in stages: a deposit to begin, one or more progress payments during the build, and a final payment at launch. The terms are set out in the proposal before any work starts.
Do you offer fixed-price or hourly billing?
Most projects are quoted as a fixed price against a clear scope, so you know the cost up front. Ongoing and open-ended work is billed hourly or as a monthly retainer.
What happens if the scope changes during the project?
Small adjustments are part of the process. Anything that materially changes the scope is quoted separately as a change request, so there are no surprises on the final invoice.
Process & Timeline
How long does a typical website project take?
It depends on complexity: a showcase site typically takes 2-4 weeks, a full e-commerce build 5-8 weeks. We always confirm precise timelines during the initial consultation.
How does a typical project run?
Discovery and planning, then design, then development, then testing and launch. You review progress at the end of each stage and sign off before we move on.
How involved do I need to be?
Most of the effort is ours. We need you for a kick-off session, for content and feedback at each stage, and for final sign-off - usually a few hours a week.
What do you need from me to get started?
A clear idea of your goals, any existing brand assets (logo, colours, fonts), and access to your domain and hosting if they already exist. We guide you through the rest.
Support & Maintenance
Do you offer maintenance after the site launches?
Yes, we offer monthly maintenance plans that include updates, backups, security monitoring and small technical fixes.
What does a support plan include?
Software and security updates, regular backups, uptime monitoring, and a set number of hours each month for small changes and fixes.
What if something breaks?
Support-plan clients get priority response within one business day. For urgent issues on a live site, we aim to respond the same day.
Can you help after the project even without a support plan?
Yes - we are still here. Ad-hoc work is booked as needed and billed hourly, though support-plan clients are scheduled first.
Technology & Platforms
Can you help with e-commerce and online payments?
Absolutely. We build complete online stores with integration of major payment methods, shipping management and product catalogues.
What platforms and technologies do you work with?
We work primarily with WordPress and WooCommerce, plus custom development in React and other modern technologies when the project calls for it.
Will I be able to edit the site myself?
Yes. We build on WordPress with a clear, well-labelled editor so you can update text, images and pages without touching code. A short handover session is included.
Do you host the websites you build?
We can recommend and set up hosting, and we offer managed hosting as part of a support plan. You can also stay on your own host - the site is yours either way.
Is the site mobile-friendly and accessible?
Every site we build is responsive and tested on real devices, and we follow accessibility best practices (WCAG) as standard, not as an extra.
